Utilizing a combination of bands ranging in size from an intimate one man to a big and brassy 24-piece band, Rawls and members perform a variety of music. The group's versatility and flexibility enables it to adapt to the equally diverse needs and desires of the customer.

The band's repertoire consist of a wide variety of music such as jazz, swing, dancing music, standards,smooth jazz, progressive and contemporary, as well as, rhythm & blues, top forty, disco, dixieland, old time rock-n-roll, classical, latin and big band tunes from the 20's up to the 2007's.

Mr.Rawls began putting together his Big Band in the mid 80's, while also maintaining a very successful smaller band called "Sound Spectrum", which he had started several years earlier. The transition to the Big Band was easy for him after having played in college bands and jazz ensembles prior to moving here to Rochester, NY, from Los Angeles, CA.  He has played with many greats like, Ray Charles, Gerald Wilson Big Band, Millie Jackson, Spinners, Martha & The Vandellas. Little Anthony and The Imperials, Rollin Kirk, Sonny & Cher, Ramsey Lewis, Llyod Oldham (former singer of the Duke Ellington Orchestra), Mahalia Jackson, Stanley Turentine, Dizzy Gallespsie, Count Basie, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, Stevie Wonder, Barbara Mandrell, Clark Terry, The Commodors, Art Farmer, Mango Santa Maria, Alvin Jones, Rita Moreno, Diane Caroll, Nell Carter, Lonnie Liston Smith, Carol Channing, Joe Locke and then some.........
